About

The curriculum at Art Metal department encompasses two directions:

  • Art metal of architectural environment is metal related to a certain architectural object or landscape (gates, fences, window grates, balcony railing, weathercocks, signboards, chandeliers, furniture, volumetric and spatial plastics);
  • Plastics of small forms (jewelry, utensils, souvenirs, enameling, volumetric and spatial plastics).

The teaching staff emphasizes the fine possibilities of metal as the material, preservation and multiplication of national traditions of metalwork with the simultaneous search for new ways to develop this field of art. The department students implement their creative endeavors in the forge and in jewelry studio.
