About Illustration and Media Design
The Illustration and Media Design program trains specialists in visual storytelling by combining technical, theoretical, and artistic skills. The curriculum focuses on three main areas: illustration, videography, and photography
Students learn to tell stories through illustration, photography, and animation techniques, including stop-motion and frame-by-frame animation. They develop skills in computer graphics, 3D modeling, fonts and typography, and printmaking techniques, including classical graphic methods such as linocut, drypoint, and monotype, as well as drawing and painting. At the same time, they study theoretical subjects — visual communication, history of graphic design, and design management — which help them gain a deeper understanding of the profession and the contemporary context of visual art.
One of the program’s key features is learning under the guidance of practicing instructors and completing practical assignments that closely reflect real-world cases and client work. Projects are completed in teams, and the final portfolio demonstrates the skills acquired and readiness for professional work in the creative industries.
