Conservation and REstoration Conference 2017 in Warsaw, Poland

Dean of the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, professor Marzenna Ciechańska, PhD with habilitation, the Editorial Board of „ICAR – International Journal of Young Conservators and Restorers of Works of Art”,  and the Student Academic Association of the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art would like to invite you to the  “CARE! Conservation and REstoration Conference 2017”.
The conference will take place on the 11-12^th May 2017 at the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland. The event promotes the 1^st issue of “ICAR – International Journal of Young Conservators and Restorers of Works of Art”. The conference is also held as part of a commemoration of the 70^th anniversary of the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw’s foundation.

The conference is two-part: on the first day there will be presentations by authors of articles in the 1^st issue of ICAR, accompanied by a discussion panel on publishing of academic papers. On the second day students and academic staff from the Sьте taatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart and the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw will present their latest projects under a general topic “Honouring the Past, Entering the Future”. This part of the conference will be accompanied by a poster exhibition presenting current research and conservation projects conducted by the staff of the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
